“I want to like this podcast, I really tried. And the initial premise is really interesting and it has a strong start. However you can tell that this was written on a weekly basis as the pacing is extremely off, and the world building feels...out of place? It’s very hard to describe. I understand we are trying to get to know our cast of characters but to me it feels a lot of telling rather than showing, as well as the tension dying down cause of all the sub plots.
The male leads are cute but most of the beginning we rarely see them interact which I think is a hinderance on the development of the relationship. The narrator herself isn’t great either, and it might be a huge reason why it’s hard to immerse myself. She talks far too quickly at times and it feels rough and unprofessional, even if I give her props to both writing and narrating her story. I wish she might’ve hired some male actors but she must’ve been on a budget and had a lot of material, which is such a shame as it would’ve improved it a lot.
Overall I can see how someone might like it, but something about the combination of everything really turned me off.”
