Racist horror show
I chose the episode “The Man in the Arena” because I’m a huge fan of Brene Brown’s work and Eisenhower’s powerful quote. I’m listening to this podcast for the first time, and this man really started this episode by saying he was going to Florida for a Cracker Trail Ride and then explained that the word “cracker” has nothing to do with racism…. I hope it needs no explanation why this was already a big red flag. He then proceeded to say that many people do not matter. He repeated it over and over: Many people do not matter. They’re inconsequential. They don’t matter. He claimed to be a “believer” but doubled down to say that God never said he created all people equal, even if the founding fathers claimed that in the constitution. He then equated financial success to human value. Our jaw were dropped. We listened through in hopes we were mistaken. We weren’t. Save yourself an ear bleed and skip this podcast.
