Catching lightning in a bottle twice
Seriously contemplating if I want to relisten to season 1. So good, had so many laughs and great memories binging that bad boy. Season 2 is… fine at best. I think it takes a lot of creative courage to try something new from what made you popular, like the four dads. But I really struggled with this new party. There are still some really solid moments, like goof realm and the staircase episode, and I like some of the new mechanics introduced (vending machine at DADDIES, new Daddy magic). However, I think it’s a bit of a depressing season comparatively, and I was honestly disappointed that they had to bring in old party members back in just to make it interesting. I liked the first season because it felt like more of an adventure with high, personal stakes. I see that they wanted to make the stakes different this time around, but honestly it’s more depressing. Kinda like finding out your childhood hero was bad person, that’s the vibe I get from it. That might be for you, but it’s not my favorite. I’ll for sure finish this season just because of how great season 1 was, just waiting for it to finish before I binge

I can’t wait until years from now when they have 50 episodes that I can nostalgically binge, it’s inspiring me to make my own...Read full review »
