“I’ve just started studying French with Duolingo and was looking for podcasts that I could use for listening comprehension. I’m so glad they also made a podcast and that they chose this storytelling format rather than some kind of lesson. I had no idea there even is a competition for best baguette for the president of France! These kinds of informational/cultural tidbits are why I listen to podcasts in the first place, and they make me want to understand, which is key to maintaining motivation to learn the language. My only suggestion is to maybe include some kind of bonus French tip at the end of the episode or after a commercial break if they ever end up adding those in.”
