No other city like it in America
The only other review of course is by an anonymous person. Able to pass judgement on a place based and it's inhabitants based on what? The comment no matter the time period is so far from reality. Clarification would be helpful and don't hide. Be forthright. San Franciscans never hide. Historically the people stand up for their beliefs or remain quiet to meditate to themselves. They chose their spiritual selves or chose not to be spirited. They are usually judged by people that have never set foot in the city nor realize that the term "looking down" would only be in the context of looking down from the top of Divisadero Street at the beauty of the bay. Looking down from Twin Peaks at the majestic city skyline. But looking down on others? Yes, like any city that possesses wealth and also possesses just as many homeless; it's not for anyone to judge or ask the wealthy to forfeit their fortunes to the less fortunate. I have wealth of SF gives back as much as possible thru values, philanthropy is in the blood of every San Franciscan. Meaning their is an awareness and giving is second nature. Religion is probably not the cornerstone as in many cities to equate to giving. That's what makes SF the unique city that it is. Values are based on the person's internal values, not those administered by government. Church and state remain separate. A San Franciscan follows the founding fathers constitutional values, but are forces time and time again to bring to light how laws are passed that are not constitutional and patiently take action to protect civil rights. But Anonymous is free to say what they want, just probably doing more homework would be helpful before applying a review to a set of historic black and white films over 100 years old. The application of the review does not fit the films.

Wow, San Francisco used to be such a wonderful innovative city. Now it is like a Disney version: a movie set. Now, people are smug and toothless, frequently looking down on the rest of the country while they have done nothing progressive themselves...except whine. The footage is amazing and I...Read full review »
