Elzanne has published widely and has worked as an environmental consultant in the fields of plant conservation, vegetation rehabilitation, sustainable agriculture and archaeo-botany for the past 5 years. Specifically, she is passionate about the importance of Fynbos plants in our species evolution, "the plants in this fynbos ecosystem literally fed us as our species evolved.
