I first read So Sad Today when I moved to Seattle from Miami, and didn’t know anyone or have a job. And I was introduced to your deeply human, candid, and vulnerable voice. I found satisfaction in the way you derived meaning, and a sort of abstract humor, throughout all your struggles. This podcast is a continuation of that connection I felt with you through your work, and it nourishes me when I just feel overwhelmed or lonely, just knowing I’m not alone in this wild and twisted world. I’m proud to be among your gay and queer fans : ) Sending all my love and encouragement

This podcast is so hilarious. I find Melissas perspective to be highly relatable, perfectly random, and such a welcome relief from other podcasts I listen to where I feel like people just take themselves too seriously. So, enjoy! And THANK YOU Melissa! 💛

I am in my teens so being able to "talk" to someone in a way about more serious issues and more meaningful topics is so amazing. I really enjoy her perspective on life and its so relatable for me.Read full review »
