Climate Action as a USP

Description
Climate change poses one of the greatest threats to humanity and our very existence on planet earth.  Climate action is, therefore,  a moral and existential imperative. Businesses have a vital role to play in reversing climate change. In fact, being a champion for climate action can  be good for business. In this episode we are talking with serial entrepreneur, investor, and climate advocate Dennis Hettema.  Dennis is the Head of Sales at Ecologi and a founding partner of the Million Tree Pledge. He believes that consumers do care about climate change and businesses can reduce  'climate anxiety' by providing simple and practical ways for people to make a  real difference.  When given the choice, consumers increasingly want environmentally friendly products. Businesses have the ability to make climate action simple for consumers by producing better goods and services that make the customer's life easier and that have a positive impact on climate and the environment. We all have a responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint. We can set eco-goals and  technology helps us to measure our impact.Planting trees and re-foresting the land lead to wider benefits. Trees and forests provide a natural eco-system for many forms of wild life to return. It is possible to make a positive impact with small actions and without sacrificing everything and feeling bad. Real change comes through making better choices, voting with our wallets, and spending pro-actively and consciously.  We can achieve more by being kind to ourselves than by ignoring climate change and feeling anxious. Are you ready to plant and grow your own forest?
