Great covering major historical events in the Dominican Republic
The scope is extensive; thus, I recommend listening to this while driving (road trips). Great intro - all in Spanish, to the history of the Dominican Republic, from the colonization until the early 2000s. The speaker makes musical pauses that, in the beginning, are needed due to the bloody history of the Dominican Republic. Still, later on in the episode, those musical pauses become exasperating and aesthetically disharmonious. Four stars because it is well crafted; although, if the intention was to share the experience, reasoning should be enough to make us understand that, based on the world we live in, the stealing of gold from the Taino People by the Spanish crown and the Catholic Church, will always be a scam, estafa, robo… and all of the above.
