“I want to start off by saying that I am a big fan of everything elkshape does. The podcast, YouTube channel, website, films, everything has been awesome for many years, and I have been a consistent consumer. I am a big fan of dans ethics, especially when the conversation is in relation to family.
With that said I understand that Dan needs to support his family, and he needs to have a paycheque every month. And I am glad that the elk shape brand has been able to get so many sponsors from good quality companies in the outdoor industry.
But these ads are just getting absolutely ridiculous, and are taking away from the listening experience when talking about the podcast. Usually having ads at the start, and then two Interruptions during, and then finally ads at the end is just taking it too far. My biggest gripe is the fact that you’ll be in the middle of the conversation, example being the most recent one with the grizzly bear encounter, and a two minute ad sequence will come up, then having to jump back into the conversation. And 10 minutes later another two minute ad sequence will come. It’s just ruins the podcast for me.
I don’t want to be a complainer and not give any recommendations, I would really prefer to have even 5 minutes at the start, and one interruption in the middle-not breaking up the conversation, than the current formula you guys are using. I think you’ll be able to keep the flow of the podcast running smoothly and still have the ads that you guys are using.
I am only putting 1 star in hopes of this being seen, and again am a big fan of everything elkshape. I would just like to have a better podcast listening experience.”

“Dan has a good approach to guest recruitment, not many product ambassadors and insta hero’s. Podcasts format is one of the best and is my new go to for consistent archery, DIY, OTC elk content. Keep it up Dan, you’re right there are a lot of options out there, you got it dialled”
