“It was actually suggested to me by chatGPT and I started listening from the beginning and went trough a dozen episodes. It would be very pleasant, interesting to listen and good on keeping the contest and the relations between people clear, which is not always easy on historical podcast, especially with family with recurring family names. It’s a good refreshing of roman history and I learned some new things. But I had to skip ahead to the most recent ones to see if he has learned to read numbers (and he hasn’t). The guy decided to number the episodes with roman numbers but at the beginning of the episode he call the episode by reading the actual letters, like he’s literally pronouncing the letters X, L, I and I out loud instead of saying “42”. It’s something people laugh at you in elementary school, I really don’t understand why is he doing that. It’s so annoying and off-putting that it really speaks to the quality of it that I still went through episode by episode. Is it an American thing?”
