Happy Tenth Birthday from Brittanica
Below was my original review a few year after this podcast started in March 2014. I wouldn’t change a word of it I would add though that Matt , Rhiannon and Caillan have made this podcast something of an institution over the past decade. Been a treat to have followed you. At the risk of Rhiannon splendidly correcting my effort Gratias tibi tam What a Gem of a find. Dr Rhiannon Evans - fabulous heritage btw- takes us through a host of Roman antiquities with a style that allows the listener to absorb and enjoy the information and knowledge she imparts. Not an easy thing to achieve, but she does it with aplomb. Podcast host Matt Smith, underplaying his own depth of subject knowledge, does a superb job teasing out the story on each episode, whilst adding his own take on things now and again, which adds to the conversational flow to each episode. Additional ‘guests’ pop up periodically to discuss their own specific subject knowledge, which again they all do very well, drawn into the easygoing but informative style Matt sets up. So in a nutshell for these podcasts - Excelsior
