“Came across an advertisement for this podcast in an anxiety support sub-reddit. The title read, “The heart condition commonly misdiagnosed as a panic attack.” It proceeds to talk about a healthy young woman who is suddenly and tragically gripped by a condition that she mistook for something less severe. It talks about how this condition is “understudied” and many health professionals are “unaware” of it, adding even more to its mysterious power. I hope that the fear-mongering hypocrisy of advertising a “your panic attack could be surprisingly deadly” advertisement to a group of people suffering from health anxiety disorder, thereby worsening their anxiety, while pretending to be working in the name of “Empowered Health” is incredibly amoral, exploitative crap.”
