“Encounter Party is set in the ecumenopolis (that’s a planet-sized city) of WOTC’s Ravnica, that has been adapted for Fifth edition D&D. The production level is high enough that the game sounds like an audio drama. It starts with a brawl, then deputising as punishment, then a grisly murder that unlocks a mystery which could lead to the destruction of an entire society.
Guild wars, magic, biological contamination, conspiracies and railways. Compelling characters, tragedy, victories pulled from the jaws of defeat. It’s got it all.
Now, I’m not usually a big fan of actual play, but this is on another level and deserves your support. I heard it usually takes around nine hours to edit a single episode of this show, and that’s not counting time spent recording, preparation for each session, writing and all the rest. A lot of effort has gone into this, and it shows!
