“Great story, great idea. Terrible characters, terrible actors/actresses, highly unrealistic portrayal of how people would react.
The story and idea is awesome, but the actors ruined it. The characters are way too unemotional, it seems as though these characters are use to this sort of situation. They weren’t scared or even shocked, just like “oh, there’s an alien invasion, cool.” Ava is dumb, and totally unreasonable. As much as she may want to see her loved ones, no human is that stupid to not want to figure out what is going on before being so impulsive. Human instinct would kick into survival mode and analyze the situation and prepare before blindly going across the country during an alien invasion without any supplies.
But the absolute worst is the lack of emotion all characters have. There are people dying and getting shot and these people are just like, “oh yeah, that guy was shot in the leg, oh there is an alien, how cool.” Characters just have zero personality.”
