Listen now
Description
Ran Ma is a biomedical engineer by training and comes a long family line of medical professionals. She was working on wound care for war veterans before becoming an entrepreneur, and starting up her company Siren Care - whose first product is a ‘smart sock’ designed to monitor and prevent further nerve damage for diabetic patients. Her ingenious invention won her the Techcrunch Hardwire Battlefield competition and rocketed her company to the top of everyone's list of must-watch companies. Ran joins me today to walk us through her journey of creating a prototype from scratch with no background in hardware, and ultimately creating a life-changing, and potentially life-saving, wearable technology.
