“WTH happened?! I absolutely love Dr. Gounder. I trust what she says about the science and medicine. I was hesitant when I heard she was doing this podcast with Ron Klain because I assumed he would add a political aspect that would feel like he was shoving his beliefs down my throat. And I’m not okay with that. I have a brain and know how to use it. Give me the facts and I can come to my own conclusions.
I was pleasantly surprised that the podcast mostly stuck to the facts. Even when they were talking about administration missteps or shortcomings it didn’t feel like biased politics. It felt like science vs politics, which is unfortunately how a lot of the pandemic has gone.
ALL of my opinions on this changed with the Stacey Abrams episode. Ron Klain’s politic bias was so blatant that it was actually making me angry. I would’ve given it only one star, but Dr. Gounder is still so amazing and all of the other episodes have been great, that I can’t justify a 1 star rating because of one absolutely awful episode.
GET IT TOGETHER AND GET OFF OF YOUR PERCEIVED SOAP BOX! Give me the facts and I can think for myself!”
