Not my kind of history
The course focus too much on biographies and psycological issues. It is not my preference, but it may suit you. The professor is quite interesting, though. Many others will like the lectures a lot, I'm sure.

More reviews of European Civilization, 1648-1945
Enjoyable and informative lecture series. The only downside was that every topic seemed to relate back to France in some manner, and the over-pronunciation of French words became a little distracting.
