The purpose of the TMCC Institutional Advisory Council is to ensure the linkage of the College to the community it serves and to anticipate future regional educational trends. Retired Humanities Professor Bill Baines, also a formerly commissioned Marine Corps Officer, carries on a long standing tradition at Truckee Meadows Community College by reading a message from the Commandant of the Marine Corps, in celebration of the Marine Corps birthday.
