“No, the other reviewers were not kidding about Matt making the origins of English folk songs fun. You'll get the most fascinating bits of information about each song along with well-curated examples and a fair dose of humor. The format's never quite the same, changing a little here and there in order to suit the journey that each song takes you on, but the general lighthearted and intelligent tone remains the same. The editing and quality are solid, too. If you're not a stickler about starting from the beginning, I suggest trying out episodes 2 ("The Unfortunate Rake") and 6 ("Long Lankin") to start.”
