Re: “What’s your type?”
Disappointed in this episode. It was as though you had “researched” David Kibbe’s theory by Googling it and getting an incomplete/inaccurate description. I did that to try to see where you got your info re: the fact that he only used skinny model types and didn’t include women of various ethnic backgrounds. Wondering if you read his book “Metamorphosis.” I did (Have a signed copy by David Kibbe). He describes many body types, and when giving celebrity examples, included women of color. I went to his studio in New York and was analyzed by David himself. My friend and I had booked an appointment with one of his associates who couldn’t make it, so we were lucky enough to have our session with David. A great experience! You spoke about the various theorists doing what they’re doing just to make money. You’re in business to give people color and style advice. People don’t have to accept everything a theorist says. There are people who scoff at color and/style theories. That’s their prerogative , but to say that it’s all baloney, doesn’t make it so.
