“I love this podcast! Cynthia Thurlow is my preferred source for information about navigating health questions and challenges presented by menopause: weight gain, sleep, Hashimoto’s, what to eat, when to eat, exercise and so forth. Although I routinely listen to others in this space, I’ve often found Cynthia presents the most consistent and helpful information. And, I’ve learned a lot from her guests. Perhaps most importantly, I believe Cynthia is an honest broker.
My only source of confusion is when Cynthia and/or guests differ significantly on their recommendations- about protein, for example. The Episode 308 (and 374 - Dr. Mary Clair Haver) guest is great, but says that only 30-35 g of protein can be consumed at a meal or it will be stored as fat. Several other recent episodes note that 50-60 g of protein may be consumed at a meal, with 30 g being the minimum. This type of thing doesn’t happen often, to be clear. It would be helpful if Cynthia could clarify when she and a guest have differing opinions on a topic so listeners understand. Overall a wonderful resource - I highly recommend!”
