“When I first heard the title and intro for this podcast, I was skeptical. I’ve so often seen rhetoric similar to everything belonging mean that equal space and weight is given to forms of bigotry as well as the targets of that bigotry. Of course, that isn’t how belonging works—bigotry is always in the business of removing access to the table. This podcast shows a deep understanding of that, and Madison’s integrity is so clear. Every episode that I listen to unlocks something for me, and I always come away with less tension (or the good kind of tension). This podcast (and Madison’s work in general) has played a large role in me really beginning to embrace, on an embodied level, that I don’t need to be fixed, that there aren’t parts of me that need to be removed, and that everything really belongs. Because I understand this more for myself, I also understand this more for others. The approach to this podcast feels, to me, so joyful in a deep and revolutionary way, and so intentional in the way beauty, in all its forms, is valued. This podcast is—as Madison often says—“juicy”.”
