Creators and Student Activism | A #BeyondDisability interview with Mya Pol
Listen now
Description
When Mya Pol isn't rolling down the runway at New York Fashion Week, she can be found dancing in her wheelchair for her TikTok followers. After suffering unexplained pain and exhaustion in 2019, Mya went to different specialists to try to understand what was happening to her body. And she's taken her followers along on that journey. With the username @immarollwith it, Pol posts joyful dance routines, answers questions about her life with a disability and shares resources for others who need mobility aids, for instance. "I pride myself in being positive and searching for joy wherever I can," Pol said. "And regardless of what life throws at me, I want to roll with it." Check out our exclusive interview with Mya on our #BeyondDisability series on audio and video.
