Disappointing language
It’s very disappointing that a podcast that calls itself “Evidence Based Birth” denies the irrefutable evidence that only women can give birth. I used to love sharing EBB info with my childbirth ed clients, but I can no longer do so. Any organization that seeks to erase the words woman, mother, etc from the English language is no friend to science or to the culture.

As an L&D nurse, I love having this evidenced- based birth education available. It’s truly changed many aspects of my practice in pain management for patients, as well as teaching points for new parents in caring for their infants.

Evidence Based Birth provides current evidence in a way that is easy to access and understand. As a midwife I recommend Rebecca Dekker’s articles to all my clients to help them make well-informed decisions.
