Good info, bad language
Don’t get me wrong, I have gleaned a lot of knowledge and wisdom from this podcast over the years. It really helped me prepare for a natural birth in the hospital with my first baby. Now that I’m listening to it in 2024 while I’m pregnant with my second baby, I cannot get passed the language being used. While this language might be comforting for certain demographics, it is demeaning and frankly annoying to me. I would never choose a provider/doula who referred to me as a “birthing person”. I am a mother and a woman. Maybe consider throwing those terms around just as much as you use “birthing person”.
