“I like this podcast and appreciate much of what they touch on since I worked in PRC’s for 8 years. But, I don’t like how they address adoption and foster care.
1. Foster Care and Domestic Adoption are two totally different beasts. I work in adoption now. They HAVE to be addressed separately.
2. We don’t need to make the adoption process easier, many things in the adoption process are important. There needs to be more steps actually. More reform and more education.
3. We have to be careful with the narratives we use. A lot of the narratives used are antiqued or “hero”/“savorism” type narratives. Adoption has changed a lot and the pro-life movement needs to catch up!
We are trying to help that happen with the education we provide at Woven Together, but we all have to be on the same page!”
