Adam and Dom have an okay podcast, a good friendship, and a great obsession with Sam Raimi movies. But in three days, they're going to hell.

It wouldn't be an EVIL DEAD series if we didn't include BUBBA HO-TEP. Wait. It wouldn't be an EVIL DEAD series if we didn't do BUBBA HO-TEP? Yes. It wouldn't be an EVIL DEAD series if we didn't do BUBBA HO-TEP. And we'll prove it to you. [Elvis voice]: Thank you very much.

It's the movie that by all accounts should have been called MEDIEVAL DEAD...and the last entry in the iconic Bruce Campbell-starring film series by Sam Raimi as director. Somewhere between LOONEY TUNES and GAME OF THRONES Season 8, it's ARMY OF DARKNESS. Hail to the king, baby.

Remake? Reboot? Or the Raimi's full, demented vision for a Looney Tunes style horror movie where the punchlines are his his best friend getting actually hurt in a series of increasingly ridiculous ways? Find out today when Eye of the Duck covers EVIL DEAD II.

Tristan Redman is a journalist who doesn’t believe in ghosts. But weird things happened in his teenage bedroom – weirder than normal. When, years later, he discovers subsequent occupants of his family home were haunted by the ghost of a faceless woman, he’s curious. Because by a strange coincidence, it just so happens that the house Tristan grew up in is right next door to a murder scene - where his wife’s great grandmother was killed by two gunshots to the face. Could there be a connection?...

Our final bonus of the series! Joining us is our old friend, co-host of Into the Aether podcast, Stephen Hilger! Today we're hitting a modern dark fantasy film that goes back to the source in a big (and surprisingly classy) way: DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES. This one goes out to our man with the wings, Jarnathan.

I will avenge you, father. I will save you, mother. I will kill you, Fjölnir. It's another bonus, baby. This time, it's Viking Hamlet. Hold on to your heads!

Bonus!! It’s been 2 whole years, and we’re doing something we’ve never done before….back in 2021 we shared a rare in-person screening of David Lowery’s THE GREEN KNIGHT right in the midst of the pandemic. It was a whirlwind (the projector was out of focus for most of it). Now that we’ve given the movie a proper (and very thorough) viewing, we couldn’t resist reevaluating it for this series. Off with yer head!

Somehow...George Lucas has returned! And also, our old friend, Desmond Thorne. Join us this week for a journey into the land of Ron Howard's WILLOW, where Queen Bavmorda of Nockmaar reigns, Warwick Davis delights, and babe-era Val Kilmer smolders. We're just about at the end of our series. But you can't close the book on '80s Dark Fantasy without unpacking Lucas's very own entry into the genre.

Inconceivable! As we near the end of the 80s, one (kind of) dark fantasy movie stands proudly in our way...PRINCESS BRIDE! It may not be the most brooding or atmospheric of the pack, but there's simply no way we couldn't dissect this all-time mega hit.

You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe with the power. What power? The power of voodoo. Who do? You do! Do what? Remind me of the babe.

There can only be one. And he's with us this week for HIGHLANDER! It's screenwriter, playwright, and co-host of the very good Die Hard on a Blank podcast, Philip Gawthorne. From bonkers accents, to decapitations, to the exact number of smashed planes of glass, we go long on what may very well be the most insane movie of the 1980s. The quickening is upon us.
