“I just listened to the most recent ep and im so disappointed. The majority of the show was about Donna Minkowitz, her work and her feelings. It’s painfully ironic that the show talked about Donna being so sorry for not representing the trans community and Brandon well in the 90’s but I can’t say that you’re doing much better now. I’m all about growth and insight and trying to be a better person than you were yesterday but this episode totally missed the mark. This episode is supposed to be about Brandon Teena but it’s about Donna Minkowitz apologizing for being a bad ally. Cis/white queer people really need to stop centering themselves and their feelings in marginalized peoples’ narrative. It’s exhausting. I’m my opinion, Donna Minkowitz continues to be a bad ally. Don’t make this story about you.”
