Family Fun Trips
First I really enjoyed your Podcast. As a Mom I would start planning our summer trips around Mar - April. We were a family of 4. My husband & I married over 58 yrs. We have 2 sons & 2 adopted Grandkids. No Daughter in Laws. Back to Trips. We got a camper & truck that we traveled in. We started with short trips up the CA coast back when the boys were 5&6 yrs. All went well. The following yr we had a month trip thru the southern areas. We visited lots of great places. We really traveled the most thru TX. So much open areas. 1 time we were stopped at a campground so I could do laundry, etc. The boys really enjoyed the pool & new friends they met. At dinner they shared how lucky the friends were because their home was the campsite. Later I shared with them that they need to remember that living there would be different in the cold months & weather. Hopefully their Daddy found a job & they would be in a warm home. The following summer month trip we went up along the coast & stayed in Vancouver &WA world fair. Next we did the whole southern states to Florida. Enjoyed WDW & all the different Parks. We were in our camper off site. Next we drove thru the midwest areas to Boston. Got to visit with lots of cousins, etc that trip. Next summer we went up the north states & saw areas with so much history & open. Our last month long family trip the boys were going into Jr HS. They did not want to be away from their friends that long. We were at Yosemite Park & they did not want to leave the camper. They were busy writing letters/Pcards to friends. I knew then this was our last month camping trip. When we drove up our driveway at home the boys flew out of it like it was on fire. I heard about your Podcast when you were on Kelly Ripa’s Podcast. Thanks again. Your Parents are great too.
