Description
The housing market comes out of its summer hibernation after the public holiday this week, and it appears the downturn in prices is losing momentum. Domain’s Quarterly House Price Report - which is out today - shows an easing pace of decline in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra, and prices stabilising in Melbourne, Adelaide and Hobart. Dr Nicola Powell, Chief of Research and Economics at Domain, talks to Sean Aylmer about the outlook for the market, and why she's more upbeat about the impact of the 'fiscal cliff' as fixed rate mortgages end.
