More than 8,000 job candidates showed up last week to the Department of Homeland Security’s much-anticipated career expo. In just two days, DHS officials from dozens of offices and agencies conducted over 1,200 interviews. In the end, close to 500 candidates received job offers on the spot. Federal News Network’s Drew Friedman attended the event and she files this report.
