“This podcast has been truly amazing and extremely helpful. I am an end of life doula (with a medical
background) living in Queensland, Australia, who has recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. In 2022 I had a tumour removed from the base of my spine and after many months of pain both before and after, and trying all the things both holistic and pharmaceutical, the specialists and I were left wondering why I just wasn’t getting “better”. And then the light bulb moment - could this be Fibro, something that had been suspected as far back as 2000, but not really spoken of for all the reasons Tami explains. I happened across this podcast and gave myself a crash course, listening to all the stories, all the research and all the people’s experiences. There are so many nuggets within this podcast, so many tools for not just living, but thriving with fibromyalgia. The thing I got most out of it is the knowledge and language to advocate for myself, giving me more confidence to make the most of the time with my doctor and the various specialists to have reached the formal diagnosis (after ruling out all the other nasties). Thank you Tami, Dr Ginevra (her books are super helpful) and all the people that share their stories and expertise. I feel hopeful I’ll be able to return to the work I love whilst learning to live alongside fibromyalgia.”
