“From the cover art to the narration to the nature sounds and gorgeous music, Field Trip guides listeners to five national parks, all different from one another, all national treasures, to ask us what the future of our national parks should be. As a frequent visitor to national parks and a climate change believer and sort of activist, I’m both enchanted w/ the parks and dismayed by some who visit them. I’m concerned about our collective inaction when it comes to protecting our parks. We must do better, but Field Trip also challenges us to consider both the cost of and benefit of tapping into resources. At the heart of this podcast is a message to be good stewards while balancing nature’s and humankind’s interests. At times I found myself teary-eyed. The narration is that good. And I’m grateful to all who work in the park system. I know they love the land and her inhabitants. I do hope we’ll have a Season 2 of Field Trip.”
