One of the most important podcasts, EVER
This love letter to America’s most beautiful places is superb. Lillian Cunningham takes you directly into the parks and paints the loveliest of lovely pictures of each. She tells native stories of each park, and how native people historically cared for the land and can help protect it again. She tells the stories of how the US, keen on development for development’s sake, made critical mistakes (that they’re now scrambling to undo) which are killing the parks. But Cunningham never leaves the listener feeling hopeless. She gives us hope for saving these wondrous places. Spoiler Alert: the power lies with indigenous people!

With the detailed descriptions and sound recordings in the series I felt transported to each park. Learning the native histories with the land brought home how little of the whole history of this continent we really know. Thank you for this series!
