Film that made me cry the most.
I was 5 and saw Benji in the theatre. I was so devastated about the treatment of poor little Benji that I cried through the movie, on the way home wailing in the car crying for a dog. This carried on for 2 more days bawling and begging my parents for a dog and missed school. Flash forward 35 years later watching the. Movie at home with my own daughters - made it 2 minutes into the show and started bawling, my girls started bawling and we had to turn it off - but, it was not me begging for a dog, it was them. Alas, to this day when the word Benji is mentioned we all well up with tears and our desire for a dog also continues. We didn’t even attempt Benji Returns or For The Love of Benji.
