Tyson Blaser is a catching coach within the New York Yankees Organization, specifically their Minor League system. He played collegiately at the University of Iowa, a NCAA Division I program.  Upon graduating in 2011 he was drafted and played in the New York Yankees Organization from 2011-2015, making it as high as Double A.  Next, in 2016 he coached baseball and taught U.S. History at United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois.  Then, in January 2017 he was hired on by the New York Yankees as a Bullpen Coach for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders a Triple A team in their organization.  From 2018-2019 he was the defensive/catching coach for the Staten Island Yankees a Single A team in the Yankees Organization.  Currently, Tyson remains within the New York Yankees Organization as a Minor League Catching Coach.   In this podcast, we start off talking about his experience when receiving “The Call” from the New York Yankees offering him the coaching position within their organization.  We than thoroughly discuss the MiLB coaching lifestyle.
