Nick Zaleski is the Associate Head Coach and Hitting Coach at McNeese State University, a NCAA Division I School in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He played baseball collegiately at Sam Houston State and upon graduating signed a free agent contract with the Toronto Blue Jays.  Later, in the Spring of 2013 he began his collegiate coaching career at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  Then, in 2016 he was hired on at McNeese State as an Assistant Coach and in August of 2019 was promoted to Associate Head Coach.  In this podcast, we start off talking about what it was like playing for Coach Hill at Sam Houston State and now coaching alongside him at McNeese State.  We than discuss Coach McNeese’s role in rebuilding the Lake Charles community following the pandemic and hurricanes they have endured.   We than dive into the fundamentals of hitting at the Division I level and what Coach Zaleski looks for when recruiting hitters for his program.   Also, discussing redefining success at higher levels of baseball, stepping up in big moments, and much more!  Lock into this podcast to hear and learn from Division I Associate Head Coach at McNeese State, Nick Zaleski.   --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/fiob/support
