Description
Mike Gambino is the Head Baseball Coach at Boston College, a Division I program in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.  A little background on Coach Gambino, he played his collegiate playing career at Boston College, graduating in 1999.  The following two years he played professional baseball in the Red Sox Organization.  After deciding to end his playing career he jumped straight into coaching, in 2002 he split the year as a Special Assistant to the Boston Red Sox coaching staff and a Coach for the Single-A Lowell Spinners.  Next, he dove into College Baseball, spending 2003-2005 as an Assistant Coach at Boston College.  Following that, he spent two seasons as a Regional Scout for the Detroit Tigers Organization, and then from 2007-2010 the Recruiting Coordinator at Virginia Tech University.  In July of 2010 he became the Head Coach at Boston College where he still remains.  In this podcast, we start off talking about what his mindset and goals were going into taking over the baseball program at Boston College. We than dive into a conversation about the future of Boston College Baseball and what’s to be expected, as well as Coach Gambino explaining the fun in building a program.
