“I have found the Swift programming community to be a very mature, open and helpful one; a very refreshing change to many other internet and tech communities. This podcast especially epitomises those values that seem to underpin the Swift community.
The format of the show is typically centred around a deep dive into a particular feature of the language each episode. This format really works for the show. You get a mixture of personal experiences and technical insight that allow one to really get to grips with a subject or feature. They manage to provide the context of the language that you just don’t get from the documentation.
Zack and Steve (the presenters) are both experienced Swift developers. The strength of the podcast doesn’t rely on their experience however, rather it is their open and honest style coupled with their humour which make the subject so accessible. It is easy to imagine some super programmers who know everything about the language. These guys certainly don’t know everything (who does?) but that is exactly what makes the podcast so accessible and entertaining; their problems, frustrations and solutions are relatable to any of us who skulk around StackOverflow in the middle of the night trying to find a solution. It is their personalities and not the individual subjects which happen to bring the language to life.
Overall, a really great podcast by a couple of great guys. Many thanks. The Swift community is in your debt. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing the show continue go from strength to strength.”
