“There’s a point, about halfway into this podcast, where she admits to the man who was her interpreter, guide and good friend in Iraq during the war that she “didn’t get it” about how the war effected him. Later on, we’re reminded through their conversation, the too many Americans also didn’t get it.
This is a must-listen for Americans who want a truly personal view and understanding of how America’s overseas actions effect people far beyond our limited horizons.
