Shannon gives us so much!
I have been a longtime listener and member of Evlo (Shannon and team’s strength building program app). This podcast is most effective when used as a companion to Evlo, but it’s also a great way to begin learning about the body, mind, fitness, mechanics, etc. Shannon gives us so much in terms of knowledge and resources — she doesn’t take on advertisers, keeps the episodes super succinct but jam packed with info. Because of her, I’m able to truly believe that rest is just as important (if not more) in the process of building strength as the workout is. I even re-listen to old episodes because they are so satisfying, and I integrate something new that I might have missed the first go-round.

this podcast allowed me to learn to respect my body. I learned that even if we train for less time and less intense, we can have results. When we over train, our cortisol increases which can have negative effects on expected results and on our hormone balance.
