Debunking Inaccurate Fitness Myths
I have learned so much from listening to Dr. Shannon and look forward to her weekly podcast. In ‘How to cut your workout time in half but double your results,’ Shannon talks about how overtraining can do more harm than good, increasing oxidative stress and all of its negative consequences. And, she emphasizes the need for rest and recovery. She references scientific studies that say the intensity you put into your workout is more important than how many times a week you exercise. You don’t need to exercise every single day. More is not better.
