What a show!
I have a background in language education, art, and most recently retail/distribution. Looking to increase my income and work one-on-one with individuals in a helping capacity, I started looking into the path of becoming an SLP. Imagine my horror at finding story after story of finishing grad school and not being prepared for the job! Let alone trying to understand why SLPs seem to have 2-4 jobs in different areas of the field. How do I rank and compare schools when there is no baseline? What is the point of spending the time and money??? This show has answered so many questions not addressed by many others available in my Apple queue. I highly recommend the hosts’ limited series podcast as well! I’m so grateful to know other people have so many questions and think about the historical context compared to the plights of the present with regard to future improvements.

More reviews of Fix SLP
I'm giving a one star review as the podcast hosts purport to welcome those who disagree and claim to invite conversation. However, they blocked me from the FB page for disagree and showing evidence that they do, in fact, refer to those disagreeing with them as Kool Aid drinkers.Read full review »

I am mind blown by the information you guys are sharing. The work you’re doing is SO important for the field of speech-language pathology. Thank you for forging ahead through the naysayers, who frankly, either don’t know what they don’t know, or stand to profit from the broken system.

Much needed demystifying and mythbusting that is ultimately going to help the SLP field so much in the long run. So thankful for the work you’re both doing to empower us to change things for the better.
