The lifeline I needed
Natalie cares about the women she reaches and is willing to speak truth to a Christian culture that does not understand the dynamics of abuse. I was married to an abusive church leader for nearly 28 years. While I knew things were not right, every time I tried to express what was going on in my relationship (3 times during that whole time), I could not make myself understood and I was shot down with helpful expressions such as, “You made your bed...” and “No, we’re not going to be labeling this,” and “It’s not that bad—you’ve been able to take trips!” Natalie gave me vocabulary to describe what I was experiencing and what I was feeling. She provided resources for me to get back to being the person that God created me to be, and I’ll be forever grateful for the lifeline she threw out to me when I was drowning. God bless you, Natalie, for reaching out in love to a drowning segment of Christian society.

Natalie does such a great job giving wisdom, support, but most of all grace to those who have experienced emotional abuse. Thank you Natalie!
