“I’ve been an on-and-off listener for a couple of years now. While I was drawn in by the diverse panel of queer men, I’ve grown tired of their basic rhetoric. Dennis is a black man who revels in acting like a white woman. Tommy’s pretense seemingly prevents him from sharing sincere thoughts. Fran boasts about having an aversion to almost all other humans, so it’s grating listening to him talk about the human experience. Joe is the most sincere but seems out of place (I’d much prefer him doing something like “Joe O the Science Ho”). Aside from Joe’s qualifications in science, none of them seem qualified to talk about anything other than the handful of queer writers they seem to be friends with and being ghosted on hookup apps. Also, besides Joe (who is clearly slutty), none of them embody the “thotness” this show’s name would indicate.”
