“At first glance the building wasn’t impressive. Drab colors, average size, a bit drafty in the entrance way. The lobby had three, worn out, sparsely placed chairs. Dark olive color with walnut arms & legs. Lesro Lennox brand, I think. Nothing special or especially comfortable.
I sat in one for five minutes, unseen. There was no receptionist, but after that time one of the hosts popped their head out from a studio room, glanced at me, and ducked back in.
Seven minutes later he came and got me. He took me to a soundproof room with one a creaky old desk chair and an old, dusty IKEA table. The chair had one arm duct taped on it. An Acme Harith by the look & sound of it. I sat there for the next two hours listening to them record.
The content was amazing. Couldn’t ask for smarter, wittier, and more friendly guys to host a show and share their vast knowledge. But man. Those chairs. The chairs could have been better.”
