dance between joy and rigour
Just discovered. Totally enthralled. I think these guys understand utterly the strange niche between industry and art so many of us struggle to survive and thrive in. Often in my practice it feels like I don’t have the time and luxury to follow my curiosity to the end of a problem. In this show they are supposedly answering our mundane questions about technical problems. They do, with exactness and generosity, but what they also do, at least for me, is to remind me of all the fantastical strange material pathways of clay, the reason I fell in love with this material in the first place! Deadlines be dammed! Magical thinking is banal compared to the chemical reactions they try to outline! All wrapped up in a kind of cheesy humour that averts panic! Nerds that actually deign to explain their inside jokes.

Best of all, it’s easy to listen to, it’s pretty concise,...Read full review »
