How To Overcome Cravings
Listen now
Description
Sooner or later, in spiritual life, we find that there are certain habits, patterns and attachments that are getting in the way either because they prevent us from practicing as much (or as well) as we'd like or because, for whatever reason, they are obstructing the natural joy and peace that should radiate from the depths of your being.    Naturally, then, we become interested in "renouncing" these things! And these things might take various forms: TV, substances, workaholism, sensual indulgences etc. So how do we do it? How do we wean off of these things in a way that is effortless, easeful and natural and not in a way that in violent and repressive? Can we learn to renounce in a way that is mental fortifying and not mentally debilitating?  This a follow up conversation to our discussion last week on "Is Religion Just Sexual Repression?" which you can watch here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/is-religion-just-81268681?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link This is one lecture in a wider lecture series on the Bhakti Sutra of Narada.
