Mauna Kea information below provided by Sheridan Noelani Enomoto:
- Mauna Kea is a mountain located on the Big Island of Hawai'i and it has profound sacred significance to Native Hawaiians.
- The Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) would be built on an untouched, pristine northern plateau of Mauna Kea. The building permit the TMT received allows them to build 18 stories high and 5 acres wide.
- Government officials are attempting to erase Native Hawaiians' rights to engage in cultural practices reserved by law.
